JRC Short-Term Rehab Amenities

The Jewish Rehabilitation Center is designed to foster a positive sense of well-being where patients enjoy many amenities and activities, socialize in pleasant settings, and visit with family while they are recuperating.  We believe an environment that promotes wellness, encourages social interaction, and provides “home away from home” comforts helps in every aspect of a patient’s recovery.

Here is a sampling of the many amenities and services we offer: 

• Coffee at Mattie’s - This is a cozy spot for socializing and bringing in families for a wide assortment of refreshments 
• Hair Salon - A full-service salon is open every day for the convenience of our patients
• Family Rooms - We offer plenty of spacious and comfortable seating areas throughout our family rooms 
• Great Grand KIDSPOT - A play area next to Mattie’s Café gives children and their elders an intergenerational place to have fun
• Gift shop - We offer a broad array of gift items for the convenience of friends and family. Hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to noon, and from 1 to 4 p.m.
• Spiritual services and programs - We offer visits by rabbis who teach bible study and conduct Shabbat services every week. Catholic Mass and Christian services are also offered
• Entertainment - We offer a variety of musical activities, including piano sing-a-longs, swing bands, vocalists, and choral groups
• Pet visits - Pets on a leash are allowed for visits in residents’ rooms and common areas. We have found that residents respond very well to visiting with their own pets or other others that are brought in by volunteers
